Hello everybody!
This is my first post here.
I'm starting to do freelance work in illustration, and just started doing some assets for a small rpg game to be launched on kickstarter.
I have some experience with digital painting and have a degree in design, but this is my first job with games. I'd love to hear your critique.
All this pieces were made for Unity Engine. First, some recent map assets:

I love what you've done with the pixel-fidelity art on the first two posts and I can imagine them to fit very well in a game of that visual style
For the first illustration, the colour on the people's skin in particular could be studied and revised further. For example the one above the fire looks a little desaturated unless that's a style you're going for. Otherwise even if your character had albinism or was generally cold, I'd light the face a little less and have some warmer tones to the areas with blood such as near the nose/lips and possibly around the eyes and cheeks a little bit. There's an apparent moon light from the right so you could use that light source a little more on the right side of the sitting foreground character and leave the middle as the darker tones, much like this image: http://media.gtanet.com/gta4/images/wallpapers/niko/standard/1024x768.jpg (light, shadow, secondary light). Some atmospheric smoke in between a darker, rim-lit foreground cast might and the fire might work nicely to frame the composition tighter as well.
Third image with the dinosaurs as you mentioned, I totally agree on what you said. It'd be great to see some atmospheric fog on this shot, with higher contrast generally in the foreground and/or on the crystal itself.
Hope that helps
Best regards,
Gavin
