Liking the design so far. My main crit is in relation to the hand (mainly the fingers). They feel far too small and dainty for the hand and the rest of the design. This is especially true for the thumb. Part from that small thing, it's looking nice Keep up the good work.
I like the style of the body paneling, but I feel the legs aren't up to the same level as the torso. The panels seem to clash with the silhouette and it looks strange. Perhaps make them more solid like the arms?
Thanks to the peeps above, indeed some mecha bunny. chappie inspired perhaps as I've just watched that film.
I have sketched out some new stuff for his legs, in the mean time sketched up a new mech but a little more dynamic. . , still rendering out the bounce lights n such, but would love some crits before I push it to finals. Might as well use this thread as my little mech thread.
legs look a tad stiff, esp the left one(his right). either rotate it more towards us or push it back some.
also, the red light and red ascent colors are kind of merging together.
That is really freaking cool! I think some of the perspective is of here and there, and I think you could ad some more contrast to the piece. but as always, really enjoy your stuff
Looks sick >.<
I do think it could do with a bit more weight in the pose, just to show how heavy the left arm is.
Love the details though all the cables n pipes n wires ;o love it
Oh shit, it's fucking awesome man, I really love robot but I have no clue how to put things together, especially the perspective for all the piece, do you have any advice for me to practice?
THanks lotet i have a DA page with more 'frequent' stuff im practising @Greenfudge - Cheers yeah the weighting was an issue , its very 'anime' style physics here ha @Pain - robots are a blast and pretty fun when learning form. Honestly the perspective isnt really the forefront when you design, but as Lotet mentioned, you gotta be aware of it . Google online for perspective books - go for the basic ones as this is all you really need. And if you cant wait for that - draw cubes , tilted, and stacked on top of each other. The books will have some tutorials laid out for you .

CC's welcome! trying out textural brushes and different materials
