HTML help!

I'm redoing my website as I've been using Weebly as my site creator, but it's limiting. Giving Wix a try because it's more customizable. My primary concern is to adjust the margins and text location of my webpage. The issue with messing with the margins is that my site views great on desktops and mobile devices, but not on tablets. On my tablet the sides of the webpage are cut off. I understand that this is a screen size issue, but I've seen other artist's webpages that look the same on every device. I have no experience with coding so if anyone has tips I'm all ears!

The top 2 chair images show the kind of margin size I wish to maintain. The iron man and sniper gun show how close I can actually be without having issues viewing on tablets. The remaining bottom images are just me testing out gallery sizes so don't pay any attention to those haha.

Personally, you're better off with a less customizable Weebly or Artstation. I've yet to see a wix website that doesn't frustrate me; they load slow, there's often a slow transition between pages, et cetera. I've heard a lot of people say the same, including people in hiring positions. The last thing you want is to frustrate people with your website.

Yeah I don't want start off on the wrong foot. I haven't had these slow down issues on my end, but I haven't loaded in all my images to really test. Maybe this will be something I just get done over time with some html builder.

Try carbonmade, its all done for you and it looks better than most

@Shrike - I used carbonmade before, but they're even less custom friendly.

Carbonmade offers very little customization but they make sure your site looks good, which is vital if youre not experienced with web and graphic design , layouting typography colors etc.

I was spending more time on making my portfolio from scratch than actually the stuff in it, I found dunked.com they have really nice templates and still allow for some customisability.

But as i say the key is the content, not the website itself, so don't get bogged down with it, just make more poly!
