Hi guys,
basically I have been looking into incorporating substance designer into my current Work flow so I thought I would see what I could come up with. I have just dipped my feet into it yesterday and loving it so far. I fancy making a few varied substances ranging from metal, brick, wood etc.
This particular texture started with an industrial / sci-fi approach in mind.
I would be very grateful for some critic and input along the way as I know Iam barley scratching the surface with what Substance Designer can do.
Cheers

I feel like the cracks and the area around the rivets would have accumulated more grime.
Good luck with Substance!
This is still cool though!
Cheers.
I have been working away on the substance and have decided to take on board comments made and have taken back some of the rust as I was not happy with the result and also some of the grime on the metal was not looking right to me, too dark in places.
I have taken a slightly different approach now and here is what I have currently.
thoughts?
Cheers
how do you print screen
I have recently been experimenting with incorporating some ware and weathering into the texture so any thoughts would be most helpful as Iam not sure how far to take it before it becomes too grimy and noisy. I have mainly been working up the rust and edge ware on the metal caution trims with a further idea to produce worn paint over the tread plate much like the ref image above.
I have not yet corrected the roughness and metallic maps yet.
