I know for web / print designers there are so go-to websites where a lot of pro's put up their portfolios and such. Are there equivalents for game artists, or do people mostly create their own wordpress site, etc.
I'm about to embark on seriously getting my stuff online and thought I'd ask to see what tools/services/sites may already be out there before I try to reinvent the wheel by doing my own wordpress site.
As always, thank you!

(and submission guidelines)
if you want something out of the box that looks ok without any graphic design skills (but its not really your own thing) + networking bonus
artstation.com
if you want something out of the box that looks good without any graphic design skills and work done but is still your personal site
carbonmade.com (recommendation)
if you just want a bit design freedom but less good result out of the box
weebly.com
blog like format but not as clean and more freedom (not as appropriate for a portfolio imo but workable)
wordpress
if you want nearly total freedom but requires graphic design skills as presets are bad
wix.com (weebydo potentially)
Squarespace has confusing controls and not enough freedom to make up for it imo
keep in mind that you need to buy a cheap subscription for nearly all of them to get rid of their watermark (and get your own domain) which is the normal thing to do, and nobody should skip.
Just FYI, all the sites i've made are hosted there. Cheap and full server control.
