UE4 Developer
Visual Purple designs and builds the next generation of training. Realistic and engaging storylines form the backbone of our training simulations. Replicating real world experiences and creative simulation design, resulting in cost effective custom training and education solutions. Using Unreal Engine 4 we bring game based training to many different industries ranging from Defense, Education, Energy, Fortune 100 and Government.
Visual Purple is looking for a UE4 Developer for full time on site work at our San Luis Obispo California Office for Projects (through the end of the year, 6months) with high potential of future additional work .
The ideal candidate would have extensive experience working with UE4 in creating compelling gameplay elements and design, blueprinting and coding experience, and the desire and drive to perform a varied set of roles within a game studio.

Work with Directors and Leads to create compelling and effective
gameplay driven training.
Ability to stay organized and productive while working on multiple simultaneous projects.
Work with industry standard asset and project management tools such as Perforce and Shotgun.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think critically about projects with the ultimate goal of improving the final product
Position Requirements:
Experience with C++
UE4 experience is required
Direct work experience on game development is required
Mobile development experience needed
Experience with traditional Visual Effects tool --- Maya strongly desired
Excellent knowledge and work experience on designing and developing complex software applications and gameplay elements
Must be a team player with experience working as part of small or large teams on complex and deadline driven projects.
