Hello everyone! I've recently started to dig deeper into Substance Designer. My main focus at the moment is trying to improve on making believable and realistic textures. Right now i'm just lacking some insight on how to make them look interesting. Please let me know what you think and, tell me everything about what needs improvement. I'll be posting new Substances in here as soon as they are finished. Thank you very much for time in advance everyone!
Hi Madosho! Your texture looks nice and you did a great job. My advice would be for sand material. Imho you forgot how wave on sand looks like, try make them not so pinchy. But don't touch albedo! I like it alot )
Thank you very much for the comments both . I've adjusted both of them now. Adjusted the pinched look of the sandwaves, and the grass is now a little less saturated. The clovers are now spawned in groups. Also added the AO in the darker regions of the patches, and added the microclusion to the grassblades, although I think made it stand out as much ^^; .
Cheers mate , i've recently updated the grass. It now has some paralax mapping applied to it, and the AO is a bit stronger. I think my mistake with the sand was that I wanted to capture each sandgrain, and the color variations killed it a little bit. Thanks again for your comment .
My excuses for the ginormous bump. But I recently did a some studies on how to do unders- and overs effectively in a fully procedural manner. I also looked at how to improve my stylised look in SD. Was really fun to do
