Tooth Demon 3D Character

Hey guys, I'm starting a new character project based on a character concept I found really sweet looking, made by the guy right over here. http://derekhetrickart.tumblr.com/

His stuff is really great, and I'm hoping to do his interesting concepts justice with this 3D character. If you guys could, I'd love some of your input on what I currently have.

what a neat character! I think the only things that stand out to me at this point are that her shoulders are a little more broad and a little less pointy. as well as the V of her hips/crotch is more exaggerated in the concept. keep going its looking great!

Definitely didn't plan on such a large delay, but between work and some sudden freelance things got busy real quick.

I did an update over the last day and am pretty pleased with my progress! I am interested in what you dudes have to say though, as she's obviously a pretty weird character and I want to be sure to reflect that

Wowee, sorry for the long delay folks, I haven't had a ton of time to directly work on this lately. However I've been looking into learning some new techniques and tools despite this, and I'm really liking how she's looking! I gotta figure out a cool way to get the eyelashes set up though, I feel like that's super important to her character

I don't think the proportions are quite there yet, Derek does really exaggerated stuff and what gives it it's unique style is how he goes from thick to thin and large to small on his shapes.



Another thing I forgot to mention is the lower abdomen also seems off, like you're missing some of the bony hip definition in the front.

Thanks for the input, I made adjustments to her based on your input and I agree, the new "weight" definitely portrays her more accurately. I ran it by Derek and he's loving the change too!



Gonna move to rigging hopefully closer to the beginning of this week and get some posing done!

Hey all, just wanted to post the final images of Enamel to wrap things up. Derek loved how she turned out and I'm really happy with how it turned out too. I feel like I got a lot out of this piece and really want to put it into my next project!

I'm looking into a few things and look forward to showing you guys soon
