Speedtree leaves

hey i just got speedtree and i was following the basic tutorial on their youtube. but i am running into a problem

the tuturial is pretty outdated but il provide pics to show what he does.

first he adds leaves that face to camera like this

then he adds a texture and gets this

so i do the same i create a quick tree with standard facing to camera leaves

and then when i add the texture it goes weird

you can see that the outline of the leaves simple has changed and i dont know why

some help would be great ,
also how do i upload pictures in here so people dont have to click the link?

The first shots show cards, also called facing planes or billboards.

There's an Insert Image button that you can click when you're typing your message it looks like a postcard with a sun atop a mountain. Can't miss it.

Yeah also, on the Imgur page click on "Get embed codes". Easier than the Insert Image button, you can just paste the BBcode into your message For example:
