Why is Gnomon online for California only?

I'm now looking for online courses i can take to teach myself and so far i've seen futurepoly (which i will probably take) some courses from CG society, digital tutors, and Gnomon, but for Gnomon's online courses it says you have to be a resident of california, or resident out of the United States, so i'm wondering if that was a mistake or just a really odd decision on their part.
PS- What are some more good online courses for modeling and what not if there are any.

I took their courses from Ireland, so I do not think that only allow residents of California You only have to mind the time difference and adjust to it.

Unless it has changed I believe its available for everyone, had an old colleague that took the course.

Gnomon online courses are only available for California residents or people who live outside of the United States.

That's so weird. Why would they not allowed the rest of the US to apply?

What's the sick reasoning behind that? Make people move to California?

They are trying to become accredited, offering classes outside of California makes that difficult as they would need to follow every state's guidelines for becoming an accredited school.

Hmm, like a year ago I took an online class there. Must be a new thing. Kind of sucks.
