I've been using lot's of NDO lately, mostly for rock and cliff textures. However, i've been reading a lot about using zBrush for textures. I started working on some cliff textures with zBrush and they look great so far, but i feel that i could achieve somewhat the same with NDO.
When do you guys decide to go with NDO or zBrush? Do you decide based on the deadline of the project? What about portfolio work, do you use tools such as NDO and DDO?

nDo for background stuff, leaf/grass. I've also seen some hard surface stuff generated with nDo quite successfully.
I've used it before to make knurling on grips and such.
