Greetings Polycounters. We are looking for one or two environment artists to start work on Squad in the next month or so. We are making a realistic teamwork based shooter with 100 players, large maps and vehicles. We have a kickstarter running which was funded in the first five days, and finishes in about 14 days. We'd like to hit the ground running after that.

We are still putting together the exact package, which is also slightly dependent on our applicants too. In short though, this will be a remote position, and paid. Freelance and salaried positions are available.

Abilities required:

Solid modeling skills
Creation of tiling textures
Unreal 4 experience, including PBR texturing.
Modular building and prop construction.
Decent level of English for communication


Desireable:

Terrain generation, including texturing and shaders
Substance designer or similar tech art background
Scripting or blueprint experience with relation to environment art.


You MUST send us a portfolio for this position. We'd like to see some amazing environment art, anything with examples of modular buildings is especially welcome! However, if you have particularly awesome vehicles or props we'd love to see them too.


Finally, yes, you can live anywhere, yes its a remote position, yes you definitely need a portfolio!
