I've been learning a lot about environment design lately and i'm pretty confident to finish my own level. After getting good with terrain and rocks, i'm in the part of filling the level with vegetation: grass, trees and bushes. But i have no idea where to start.
Do you guys sculpt trees in ZBrush and retopologize, like a normal asset? Or is there a more specific workflow? Do you guys know any tutorials i can follow to improve my knowledge in this area? Thanks in advance!

You can use zbrush for stylized trees. For realistic trees you can stay inside max/maya for the most part or better yet use speedtree modeller (versatile and much much quicker). In that workflow you make textures first before you create the model.
