Looking for feedback on a courier design

Hi, me and a group of students are taking a shot a making a dota2 courier this summer, mostly as a learning experience. I finished the rough sculpt for what we think would be an interesting design, basically a canine looking fellow with giant ears used to fly. Before proceeding further, we'd greatly appreciate any feedback either on design ideas, originality, technical points, anything really. Thank you very much!

Looks great, perhaps the eyes could be moved to be more doglike though- dogs have their eyes on the front of their heads because they are predators so at the moment the eyes are making the face look a bit bovine or goatlike because they seem to point outwards a bit :d the silhouette of the overall courier looks great tho!

yeah, thats true, didnt think about it that way but you're right. It would also probably make for a more interesting figure. I'll probably also end up opening his mouth to put in a tongue

Could probably do with upping some of the detail on the raised areas along the ear... very cool silhouette though. Super cute

Quick update I did this afternoon. Opened his mouth and gave him a tongue, def adds character in exchange for a drop in IQ lol. Also went ahead and sculpted some fur, especially on the ears. It doesn't come too visually charged when viewed from the top, which is what i was afraid of. Ill have to do a full pass on the body fur since atm hes got way too many kinds of different fur on his body and it doesn't come out as natural i think.

Yeah from the top the horns look a bit like eyes. Maybe make them a bit longer

I've seen the idea of a dog with ears before , but thats not an issue as its a pretty basic idea. I love your execution , the corgi is looking pretty sweet:)
