Thanks for the heads up. These all look amazing. Just spent a half hour on the miximo site and it looks great. Tried to find out what one of their animation packs cost and you get the run around. Seems I have to 'join the family' or sum such. When I click on shop just give me the price dammit! I hate those sites that want to give you an experience, reminds me of my mac days
Anyhow I haven't been following these developments of late and the really do look high quality, all of them.

I don't know if you can just directly buy animations. You subscribe for a monthly fee, and get a certain number of animation downloads per month based on your subscription tier.
Yes thanks, I thought it might be something like that.
I think for larger companies these time rental things might be interesting. I would also like to be able to buy animations. I probably can somewhere, will keep looking.
I tried Mixamo, and didnt like many parts of it. The character creator is good, but (last year) it only exported OBJs without a skeleton, and the (naked body) meshes werent symmetrical. Also I dont like the default T-Pose, which doesnt provide good deformations in the shoulders.
The purchasable animations are good, but you have to do the web based auto rigging, to download them, which i dont like.
Since I have Maya with Human IK and use my own rigs, I have better retargeting options, and more control over bone names and layouts and such.
I can recommend the online animation retargeting only for rough stuff and prototyping.
There are better autorigging solutions for Maya, than the rig provided by Mixamo , imho
