The Vision WIP Looking for suggestions.

Hey Polycount,

I'm looking for feedback on my fan art model of Vision from Avengers 2. I still have a lot I can do but want this to be a strong portfolio piece. Any ideas on materials or changes? There were a few interesting poses I got frustrated with trying to recreate that I might still try to do.

my first suggestion is to post clearer images. you have 1 image, with lots of wasted space on either side, where you could have added a profile or back image or even a reference image. you've also got straight on lighting which is only really good at hiding the outline, making it hard to judge things. add a close up of the head.

I found a concept image for vision, and given my brief look at it, you need to fix the lower leg and boot area. you've got the boot around the leg and rather extruded off it, when the concept looks sleek and flush, more like your bracers. the cape/shoulder area also looks like it could be more flush as well.

well I dont really know what to say, it looks decent but you have a lot of anatomy stuff you need to work on.

Solid base. Just needs a little more! You're missing a lot of the smaller lines that are on the movie costume. The small ridges. the smaller valleys in the armored helmet.



I'd normal paint them in.

Maybe it's to late for a few changes on his proportions, but if you are spending more time on the concept of Vision, your materials and textures will become better

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've put so much time into it but it's not near the quality I want. I've got a collection of Vision pictures with all sorts of angles for reference. The face is bugging me and I'm trying to tweak anatomy and get closer to the picture. trying to beat the frustration.

Trying to decide what the best approach is with the time I have.
