So, I usually work with Targa files simply because I've had the least issue with that format in the past. I've done this now on multiple projects. I start the project with all targa formatted maps. Then if I try to reimport maps at some later point because i had to make a change to the mesh and i reimport the color id map as a targa it breaks the project. However, if i reimport the color id map as a png everything works as it should. So, I have concluded that DDO prefers png files for the color id. Possibly for the other maps too.....i'm not sure. all of my other maps are still targa format.
