How to draw Hand Painted Ground Textures?

Hi all. Guys, tell me, where can I see/read a good tutorials on drawing TEXTURES for games in the style of Hand Painted/Stylized. It is to draw. Mostly I'm interested in drawing Grass/Ground... Well, in General the coverage of the landscape.
Yes, google/youtube have been looking for. Yes, there are a couple, but it's not what you need.

For ideas, I would suggest Pinterest. Always have new pins flowing in each day and it is super easy to build an idea board there. I took the liberty of doing a quick "Handpainted Dirt Texture" search for you.

there's no real tutorial, following a step-by-step will only make you copy someone else style.

Handpaint is all about well.. painting ! know your lights and color theory and just paint. Handpaint is really artistic, it's nothing technique so using tutorial isn't the way to go. You can find multiple reference to study them, but don't try to imitate them either.

If you really insist on tutorial, search for art tutorial such as those





Or at least stick with "process" tutorial, that just show you a "technique" to handpaint and not a "then a put those lines, then a take that color to do that"



In any way, the best way to learn is to DO IT, post it, get critique and do it again !

Take a look at jamin shoulets handpainted texturing tutorial. (Big fan of these).
