After have a couple on project orientated threads over my lurking, figured it would be best just to create a single thread and throw all the stuff I'm working on in the thread.

Currently I am studying in New Zealand and I am making a push to finish up some pieces of work for my growing portfolio.

These are two models I am currently working on

Had to start making something The Witcher inspired, that game is beautiful. The chain mail is just temporary to help me visualise my progress, I'll bake a flat out when I texture it.


This is one being worked on for my class, based on a concept by another student.

Started working on my low on areas that I've finished sculpting. Going to remove a few edgeloops in there where it's a bit unnecessarily tight, but I'm relatively happy with how the polycount is going. Still have some sculpting work on the pants/boots and face to do. Decided to just go with a chain mail drop in the mid section where the belt is tied around.

Decided to get started on the sword/scabbard section this afternoon, here's where I got to. Whatcha think?

Little bust thing I did, probably will get rid of the scarf and work on something more fantasy like, if I decide to work on it more.

Cheers, I'm pretty happy with it. Was going for a Clone Wars / Rebels sort of vibe. I might continue working on it sometime.

Made some solid progress with the witcher inspired character. Norms baked and texture is now in progress. Some critique would be great! really wanna push it. Unsure where to take it texture wise.

Decided to start the texturing again from scratch as I was unhappy with it.

New lighting setup, new textures. Pretty happy how it is going so far, whatcha think?

Yup! Noticed this straight after making that post. Has been fixed.

Stopped working on the character for a day, to crank out the combat shotgun from Fallout as I am pretty excited for it (Started replaying them all in preparation for 4 hah) . Finished the high poly. Skipping some details that are not too silhouette heavy I will just do them in NDO as that's quicker.

Lowpoly made and baked. Started working on the wood texture, trying to get that worn look, at the moment only added sort of a varnish wear in the gloss map. Havent added much as far as dirt is considered. Thoughts?

Just remember that if the wood is that rough it's going to have a lot of dirt and wear caked on.

Update. Calling it done for now. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Reviving an old model that I finished awhile ago. Was unhappy with the textures on it and my texture packing etc. Refurbishing it for portfolio.

Just working on the helmet section at the moment (I know theres a super noticable seam on the ear section)
