To prepare myself for a project I've been planning for over a year, I'm sculpting Pokemon to help me gain speed as I learn new techniques and sharpen my skills in Zbrush.
I kind of just slapped the paint on, but enjoy this Slowbro.
Funny how this little guy is a hundred times more appealing to me than the sea of super complicated firearms that get posted every day. Sometimes simplicity can be a good thing.

This is super adorable, I am personally feeling that the colors arent as saturated as they are in the games. But a great sculpt, it made me smile! On a side not, you should definitely 3d print it.
Shellder is about the right size but the the Slowpoke part is a bit fat. The eyes shouldn't end halfway through the circle like yours but instead should start to curve back in a bit before stopping. Slowpoke should be a more bright pink and Shellder should be grey rather than brownish.
Does look nice just not as true to the original as it could be

I'm glad you picked up on my changes. You're right about all of it, though they were stylistic choices rather than oversights. I do wish I had approached the ears differently though. They don't have that same pillowy swirl feel that you see in the original. I would have picked up on that, had I looked to the trading cards for reference as well as the concept art. That said, I don't mind letting my ideas influence the design. They make a ton of these things with every generation, so if I think something will look better if I do it differently and doesn't go too far off model, I'll do it...well for personal projects at least.
As for the colors, Slowbro is often depicted in one of two palettes. I chose the less common salmon skin and green tint to his shell, because I like the use of complimentary hues. It also gives him a nice sunset look to better express his beach bum lifestyle.
This card is a little oversaturated, but that is definitely green and salmon.

Yeah well as I said it does look good actually Gen 3 Ruby and Sapphire in game he did look fat and match your colours and i'd just forgotten :P
Now he just needs to evolve into slowking or maybe mega slowbro.
Can't evolve into Slowking since Slowpoke evolves into Slowking when traded with King's Rock, Mega is still an option though that was one stupid looking Mega
