Is there a special configuration when working with orange normal maps? I'll my models get messed up in DDO when using an orange normal map. The specularity is huge and the smart materials don't work, just output noise.
Looking closer at the image posted it does not seem to be a normal map.. there seems to be top-down light baked, and it only has information in the green channel, could it be corrupt somehow?

So I managed to reverse this thing (Sort of). Maybe try plugging this into DDO?
Then reverse back to orange.
This is news to me! I´ve never seen an orange normal map before
I´m gonna have to call in the big guns on this one, I´ll be back!
