Help! I'm trying to get a object space normal map working in Marmoset, but I can't get this seam to go away and I'm clueless to what the problem might be. Anyone got any ideas?
There might be a few issues with that. Make sure under the object in marmmoset it is set as a Max object.
Or (this happened to me in maya) Make sure to have the Normals box checked when you export your objs from Max. You also might want to uncheck the optimize box because I have been told that this can cause problems.
Thanks for the replies :-) I forgot that when I export with the ZBrush preset in max, it unchecks some settings and that was the culprit :-)
Anyways, here is an update of the character and the pet alligator/lizard hybrid she's gonna be riding on. I'm a bit disappointed in the resolution of the skulls, but oh well, maybe i'll fix it later.
I like how she looks with the face paint. The images are at weird angles tho when high enough res to see, and the other images where you see here face and stuff are really low res. Sorta feels like you are hiding stuff, lol. Id like to see some clear images to give critique. The forms look pretty solid though, but it looks like the hair, face and certain parts of here outfit (like the wraps around the leg) need more love.
BradMyers82: Thanks for the feedback! and sorry for the low res images, I didn't realize that they weren't full res. I've tried to improve the character model while also making some progress on the weapon/s :-) I think the weapon turned out much better geometry-wise than the character. I really learned a lot from creating her. It's a bit annoying actually. :poly108:
I dig what you're doing here, it looks very cool and I like the design and especially colors, but for the love of god just downrez them a bit. 3500x5000 is overkill. One at that rez might be ok but the rest of them would be great at half that, and much more merciful on many peoples internets haha.

I would like to get some feedback, that I can benefit from in my next project, so fire away :poly144:
nonetheless, nice stuff!
Everything looks good. Thou that eyebrow...
