[PAID] Seeking a Level Designer / Technical Artist - The Third Floor, Inc. (LA)

Since its inception 10 years ago, The Third Floor has worked on Hollywoods biggest blockbusters, contributing to over a billion dollars a year in box office annually. Our mission has expanded and we continue to push the boundaries of entertainment with content development for the latest cutting-edge VR/AR hardware.
We are currently looking for a level design artist experienced in the Unreal engine to join our team. We are a highly collaborative and creative studio working with some of the biggest names in the industry to create real-time experiences for a variety of projects and platforms in Unreal 4.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and script levels in Unreal 4 for our amazing VR/AR experiences
Author and refine design documentation as needed
Essential Skills:
Extensive experience building levels / mods with Unreal 3 and 4
Excellent sense of 3D game space and game flow
Minimum 3 years experience integrating assets and designing, building, and populating levels on shipped titles
Strong artistic ability and confidence to visualize entire levels and detail with minimal concept art and direction
Excellent communication / collaboration skills / team-player attitude
Extensive experience with Blueprint
Must be proactive and work well in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to follow design / reference and adapt to direction changes
Ability to work with wide range of styles
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Desired Skills:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Basic understanding of scripting languages: C++, Python
Experience with Unity 3D level design tools (or other 3D editor)
Substance Painter
Passion for game development
Previous experience working in VR or AR
Portfolio of relevant experience required - show us your work!
