Hey guys,
What is your workflow when dealing with hard-surface floaters like screws ?
Maya has some nice edge to curve commands that let you spread various instances around selected curve. It's not one single command but you can always combine it.
Now while seeing some Snefer's livestreams,i've noticed that his method is far more efficient and quicker.Basically,he just creates one screw, then start painting it on the mesh.Done.
There are often some very little issues but overall it's a robust technique and you don't have to adjust the rotation of every screw to make it blend well like a floater.
Doing stuff like this by hand isn't hard but takes too much time, time that could have been spent on something else :shifty:
Thanks in advance for any reply

Something really nice is that you can paint geometry as an instance.
