I'm trying to learn zBrush, and I'm trying to make a rococo ornament for a column I have in a scene I'm working on. I've gotten the basic pattern down, but I'm really struggling getting the crisp, clean edges I see everyone else get! If anyone can shed some light on what tools to use and how to use them, I'd be very grateful!

The left is what I have so far, and the right is the one I'm trying to get.

Personally I wouldn't use zbrush to model those shapes. I would sub-d model it in Maya/Max because those shapes are super easy to make with curves. After that I would bring it in to zbrush to add the little Knicks, cracks, and detail.

Yeah that's usually what I would do as well, but I thought it would be a nice exercise for getting more familiar with zBrush. If I can't find a way to fix what I already have, I'll just go back and remodel it in Maya :)
