Hi...im trying to retopo using quad draw maya 2016...but when im adding geo onto my high poly mesh using live surface im having problem seeing the new retopo geo...is there any way i can adjust the off set so the new polys are easier to see?
Not sure you can apply an offset, but you can (and should) change the shader of your live object, you could have it semi-transparent for example, that should help.
Thanks for your reply mate, it sucks there isn't a proper way like in 3dmax...ok, im pretty new to maya and im guessing i would apply a semi transparent material to my high poly so i can see my retopo geo, any ideas how i would setup a good semi transparent material?
Its a pain in the ass, plus quad draw slows right down to a crawl after abit...shame because its a good tool otherwise...but yeh because of those two things its pretty much useless
