Hi guys, I´m a bit stuck with this illustration, I dont know how to pop up the character and improve the atmosphere, any feedback about the illustration or the character concept is welcome, thanks!

    these are both way cool!
    My suggestion for the larger illustration is to add a soft light on the character. The whole picture exists in the low midtones (which is fine), but if you'd like him to stick out more, he needs to be either more light on dark or more dark on light. it won't take much- he's already a little lighter than everything around him- but pushing it another 10% will help. You should also consider using softer edges for the background and any non-focus areas -- for example, the distant trees have the same edge treatment as the nearby tree your guy is sitting against. Also, allowing the glow on the wisps to get a bit larger (not brighter) would imply a more thick, foggy scene.
