Quick repost of some work that I've been doing for the past few days. They are building to be used in a Unity3D top-down shooter that I'm currently working on. Need to work on the UV's and textures now.
The first image, is of a small supermarket (693 Polys):
Does anyone have any tips for UV unwrapping models like this?
I may keep this updated with all of the work I so relating to the project this is a part of

If your buildings consist mainly of 90 degree angles (like the one on the picture), a quick and reliable way to unwrap them would be using a 'Project from view' approach. At least that's what it's called in Blender, but I'm sure 3dsMax has a comparable way of doing it.
Basically, you'd unwrap all necessary sides (in this case: up, left, right, front and back) using planar projection. You might get some overlapping UVs, whenever there are overhangs in the geometry, but those should be negligible in a top-down game.
