Hey guys , I'm creating a Pistol that has a flashlight attached along with a laser. What is the best way to create the actual lighting effects for it ? I've tried several things but nothing worked well.
If anyone could point me to some reading that would be awesome as well. For the light i prett much put a spot light tweaked abit and have emissive map tied to area. But im having a hard time with the laser

For a flashlight, you could create a cone shape piece of geometry, turn off reflectivity, set diffusion to unlit, and load an alpha map to vary the falloff, set it to additive and include diffuse.
Same for a laser effect, but use a thin cylindrical shaped mesh.
