How would one do this? Make a cube, scale it and use vertex to drag araund to get
the plank-shapes? Im looking for a way to model something like this:

I own MODO-Indie, so I hope its possible to do it in the indie version too.

using modos sub D while moving the verts and using soft selection can do this easy. him/her also did a lot of zbrushing.

We have links to a couple tutorials here, one for Zbrush the other for Mudbox. You could easily adapt the ideas to work in 3D Coat.

Thanks for the links. Yes, 3D-Coat is for me an easier version of ZBrush
Not that expensive too.
