Greetings to all,

I was thinking thousands times when I read about this contest, since I'm new to this wonderful world of 3D Animation which I was interested in many years ago, but finally since last November 2014 I've discovered Reallusion software I got the courage to go ahead with my interest.

Anyway, lets get going with this contest, I'm going to create a Medieval War video Scene, based on many Strategy games I've played years ago, I hope I can achieve my goal on time.

I'll update my post gradually upon completing each set of the scene.

Until then, wish me luck :D

These are the basic characters I'm going to work with, these Characters might change in a course of time.

That's true, I was wondering of what theme I can participate and the only thing came to my mind is this, It's really require hard work and lot of time to complete, I wish you good luck with your work.:):thumbup:

I've made the first scene of the war Camp 1, where all the troops are staying overnight.

Next step will be the troops, I haven't thought this is going to take that much time, anyway I'll keep going to the end. :poly142: :poly121:

Hey guys... I'm really quite glad to see a few with the same theme!...

Just remember that Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones also share a similar theme, but there are so many cool ways to share different viewpoints, techniques, styles and strategies...

Can't wait to see your updates!!

    :)

Oh my, seeing all these graphics and animations from participants in this contest, I'm giving up and withdrawing from it.

I will not have chance against all those artist and animators who's doing a very great work on their projects....

Until next contest, I might have better PC and more experience.

Don't give up, taking part improves you, gives you a deadline to try and reach. I for one would feel you withdrawing as a massive miss to the contest!

Please, don't give up. There are no "bad" entries. It is always good to have a goal to reach out. You may reconsider this ...

Oh no, please don't!!!... I felt like giving up too, because my 2 entries are both targeted for much younger gamers so they're *nothing* like any of the work by the "big boys"... but kids and gamers are all young at heart - just look at the success of "angry birds" and it's so simple!!...

Better news: if you look at the rules of this competition, the two things they are judging the most are:

    * the unique *motions of the skeleton* and the
    * story...

And those two things can be really good without needing all the fancy lighting, settings or physics, and they don't need any characters or motions that were already made famous by other people... Those things just help us learn a lot from people who've already made it, but I bet somebody could even win both of the biggest categories using just animated skeletons on a blank background, if their motions and story are the best...

So what this competition really needs, I think, is a wide range of people like me and you (and as many of them as we can lure/seduce & bribe to enter!), who might have unique ideas about motions that can fit humanoid skeletons and be used in other games... especially if we can be inspired by this wonderful chance to ask questions from such amazing animators in here!!!... How often do we get that rare opportunity? [It was only a month ago that I was still classed as a "Newbie" and "Junior Member" in the reallusion forums, and it's only a year since I tried my very first animation..."]

And the best news is that unique ideas often come from people who are fresh and new, who are not just trying to copy somebody else... and that can be *anybody*... with so many prizes, that really could include you!!...

or, at least... please don't leave me alone with them... I've seen all those scary weapons... they're gonna slaughter me and my whole cast of icloonie toonies!!... But the really cool thing about animation, is that we *can* die glorious, blood-splattering deaths, and come back to full health a lot smarter for round two, next time.... and sooner or later, it will be *their* avatars running in fear from mine, even if they are all using walking sticks and grnny-mobiles by then... Hahahaha...

So come onnnn... if you really must die on this battlefield, then come and die a glorious death with me!!! YAYYY! :)

Thanks for encouraging me to keep going, but my decision was due to my laptop limitation and my own time limits, I know that giving up too soon have no meaning, but including to that limitation I really have other personal matters to look after, maybe I'll participate in next contest.

Thanks again and sorry for replying too late, I was just away from my PC for the past days I didn't read your posts.
