Hello everyone,
i am h4voc and i recently started with handpainted textures.
I would like to show some of my work and get some feedback and critiques.
I am using, photoshop, krita and paintstorm with a wacom.
My goal is to get my textures closer to the WorldofWarcraft style. When i look at my first trys i think maybe they need to be more sharpened or defined but i dont know how to achieve this.
Well i watched a lot of tutorials, specially from Jamin Shoulet, so i try to use his techniques.
Here is my work:
I am thankful for every feedback
best regards,
h4voc

really looking for advice and guidance.
Did i post in the wrong category? Is this more of a 2D topic?
Thanks!
Good places to compare your workflow to are the Siege of Orgrimmar art dump http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125737 (will show you WOW's textures and how they were achieved using ZBrush)
Also another person you want to check out is Jeff Parrott http://www.environmentartist.com/ he has a lot of work I can recall from the top of my head doing hand textured stuff also his Youtube channel has a primer to go through which could help push your textures in the direction you need https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW54USAkyIJq1NNqEmHwgBNtXCaXK6eh6.
