Hello all,

I have been working on a new character for the last couple of weeks, based on Mathilda from the film 'Leon', one of my favorite films and highly recommended. I am not necessarily looking to do a 100% likeness but it should be recognizable.

Anyone who has not seen the film, Mathilda is a 12 year old girl (played by Natalie Portman) who, after her family is killed by a corrupt cop, gets taken in by Leon, a hitman and learns his trade to take revenge.

I am looking for any critique or comment from anyone, which will help me to improve this character. I still have a bit to do so would appreciate ways to improve.

I feel it is generally the last lot of details I struggle to get which can take a good model to a great one so with this character I am aiming to get this detail in there.

The hair is just a place holder for now. I aim to use hair planes further down the line.

the folds on the jacket are great! although the head is too large and the neck is too thick.
also the lower leg is the same width as the upper leg when infact it should get thinner especially on a female.keep it up though this is looking great so far!

Same critic as rbong told you,
the head is too big and the neck very thick.
ankle, especially on a child can be very thin and right now they look way too thin.
The sculpt looks great otherwise

Additionally, maybe it's the bangs, but even when I envision them gone, she seems to be lacking in the forehead department. I'd try raising the top of a head a few nudges.

Thanks for the crits.

I did wonder if the head was a bit too large so thanks for confirming that for me. I will make the adjustments to the model you have mentioned before I continue.
