Hello everyone!
I started working on the 3D model for Ifrit (from ff8 )
I still have a lot to learn about 3D and I'm here to ask for some advice about ifrit hairs..
The model is still far from being completed but I already made the body base mesh for sculpt in z-brush and most of its accessories (horns will come soon)
I'm using both 3DS Max and Z-brush.

My problem is this :
I have 0 experience whith fur or hair and I really have no idea about how to make these hairs (for real time animation) for this model..
The model will be for modern graphics so I dont need the hair to be extremely "low" poly..
The result I'd like to get should be as close as possible to this:
Any advice about this would be really appreciated
(any other advice about the model would be appreciated as well)
If you guys know good tutorials for low poly hair modeling I'd be really thankful!

Also, what game engine do you intend to use? Try to search for hair solutions that artists use on that particular engine.
I'll do some test soon
Anyway about the engine I'll probably use UE4
