Hey,
Sorry that I have to ask you this question but I dont know what to do. I want to get into sculpting to create cartoony/stylized Objects so I can make them to low poly in Blender and make hand painted textures for them.
The problem is, zBrush is too expensive for me (student). I have tried sculptis and the sculpting in Blender but I don´t feel like they are not good enough.
So I wanted to ask you. What sculpting Software would you use? What do you think about cracking zBrush? Personally I don´t really like to do it but if there are no good other Sculpting software for free
I would really appreciate to hear you opinion

So, maybe you want use the "free" version for a while, but definitely you should buy it at some point... it totally worth the money.
Blender is better than Sculptris and that's really your only no-cost full featured option right now.
I'm of the same opinion as MmAaXx, Zbrush is an investment and it's worth it if you see your future in 3d modelling.

Haha sry I didnt meant to write that "dont".
I think sculptris is a little bit too simple but I didn´t looked at Blender too much. I guess I will try it.
Thank you guys. I will also take a look at mudbox.
Look at what people did in Sculptris.

It's all about having fun and at the same time building up your skills. Even traditional clays are good in this regard.
