AO Baking in Toolbag 2?

I know this isn't really possible so its more of a suggestion than anything but does anybody else think it would be amazing if you could bake out the AO that marmoset generates for your model?

I'm sure you've all noticed but it looks awesome. I'm not sure if its possible as I have no idea how its generated but I think it would be cool if you could output that AO as a Bitmap to use elsewhere.

The Ambient Occlusion that Toolbag 2 generates is screen-space ambient occlusion, which isn't baked... So there is no way to render out that ambient occlusion to a UV texture.

You can use Knald, or Substance Painter/Designer or something like Faogen, Topogun, even 3dsmax render to texture to generate AO (that might even look better)

I thought as much Drew. Pit cos it looks awesome.

And huffer, yes I know about all those programs, I've been using them all to bake AO and such for years, I was just remarking that Marmosets is very pretty as well as accurate

As Drew says, the AO in TB2 is screen-space based, which means it's not very accurate, as only elements that are on screen can occlude. If we were to add some sort of AO baking, it would have to be a different method.
