hell yeah, lookin pretty cool, Neko. I'm pretty sure I played a game on a machine that looks like that here, not in Japan. I forgot what it's called, though.
that might be it, or one where there's LED's surrounding the middle, there's a light that runs around each LED, you have to hit a button the moment it's in front of you
Got the chair done, i used it as an experiment to come up with a hand painted/stylized pbr mix technique using substance painter that i wanted the whole scene to have.
I am going to redo the marquees tomorrow to be more consistent with the style/ less noisy Some games may be swapped out for others that i think fit my arcade better
looking into ways to make animated textures from gifs i made for the screens in substance, not sure sketchfab will even take those though
Dude, this is coming along pretty well. Yeah, I'm not sure if animated textures work on Sketchfab, but that would be perfect for this. The only other option I could think of would be having the animation sequences in separate planes and animating their opacity, might seem too wonky though.
Ooh, this is coming along nicely. It's a bit heavy on the pink and purple color scheme, I wonder if you can pull it back towards the nice lighting you had in your January 17 test image?
The lighting is actually the same externally. The only difference is i added 3 internal lights. The pink and purple is actually what im going for with this as far as mood ( its a thing in japanese arcades). That being said the internal lighting isnt set in stone , it is more just so i can see things, I want to eventually get a bit heavier contrast with the light so it isnt as blown out but will have to balance it with the fact that japanese arcades are really bright.
The lighting is going to have to be completely redone for Sketchfab because of the light limitations ( i think its max 3)
I think that if you want a realistic artstyle (idk whether you want it or not) your materials are a bit flat, you might want to add more high frequence details. Also the 3d models are not physically correct sometimes: i.e. the lights cords are just embed into the ceiling. In real world you would probably have come geometry there. The ceiling material is too glossy imo. However I think it looks cool it is a very creative piece, not just a sci-fi corridor. I really liked the Guitar Freaks arcade

It is only 50% done atm, more detail will be added later..that being said it is purposefully being kept simple Going for the opposite of realistic, using lightly shaded colors with baked lighting and very little roughness noise for a very clean simple look to reflect japanese arcades there is almost no gloss on the ceiling, you may be seeing the temporary blown out lights i have
Thanks glad you like the guitar freaks, i couldnt decide on GF or DDR so i just combined them into one new machine
