Making a 1940's Gas Lamp for a scene i'm slowly working on.
Any ideas on how to handle the ceramic mesh at the top would be cool. What is there is just a placeholder atm. (i was thinking Zbrush's micro mesh but i've never used it)

I chose to have the glass part a bit longer

I have a fairly poor model atm and i'm looking for help.
The top part is the worst. I can't get it to look good and i've remodelled it checked normals made a special model just for baking and it still looks off. The bottom and the pipes i'm ok with. They need touching up manually.
PS: i'm using only DDO atm for the texturing to create a good base to work off.
