ZTL disappears on save

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had this problem.
When I save my ztl it sometimes (maybe 1 out of 50) removes the file and all traces from my hard drive. No where to be found.

I've heard people say save increments. And even though that's a good save tip, I'd like to figure out what is causing this.

Any ideas ?

i've never ever encountered that. does zbrush crash in these instances where the file vanishes? for me if it crashes (thankfully rarely enough) it leaves behind the .zzz temp file that is being created during a save.

perhaps you have background software interfering with your file system in some way? or are you switching folders accidentially and it does save in another location? tried searching the harddrive thoroughly for files of a certain size created on a particular date and specific time?
standard windows quick search like it's built into the start menu might fail to locate them, instead running the more extensive search built into explorer or a dedicated tool like 'everything' might yield better results.
