Hey all,
I had such a fun time working on the Kin Slayer sword for the workshop, that I wanted to take another stab at it and work on a proper set. I'll be focusing on the Archer for this one, Longbow weapon and a Helmet (with an Alt).
Here is what I have so far, did this over the weekend and I'm hoping to have this wrapped up by next weekend. Going to start on the longbow next before I head into the texturing phase (some more added normal details as well as clean up).

Are you using the actual archer bust? The hood looks like it might clip with equipment mounted on the back, so watch out for that.
J0420 - Thanks for the feedback. I figured it would look a bit out of place, but I liked how the overall look was so i'm hoping people wont get too offended if I kept the helmet as is.
I haven't messed with the longbow yet but I have heard the bows are the most complicated to figure out. Once I get cracking on it i'll letcha know how it goes, could be a nightmare haha.
Thanks again everyone! More updates coming!
Fair enough Im always a bit of a stickler Excellent design none the less. Good luck with the skinning.
Dylan - This has been a good practice with trying to do this set in good time while still trying to nail down a good quality bar, this has been so fun to work on, even more so than the kin slayer.
Here is a first pass at the diffuse and normal for the Bow. I still need to clean up some of the normal map (the leather needs some lovin) and than I need to create the spec map. Once that is done I can finally focus on the helmet and than rig everything up and test in-engine.
I'd really like to have this wrapped up by end of weekend
But if you're not worried about that then whatevs; still looks cool Maybe add more darkening / dirt around the bottom end of the bow, as it would get rested on the ground quite often.
I appreciate it the feedback!
I've been working on the helmet texture (and updating the bow texture, added spec etc.) I still need to go through and create my gloss map for the helmet, but I'll be starting up on the Alt texture for the hood up mesh next.
These shots are still done in Marmoset though, so once I get my textures at a solid state, I'll bring everything into unreal and do some much needed tweaks :P
Let me know whatcha think
Direwolf - I think I made the base normal (just the cowl without the chainmail) kinda puffy, and then when I baked out my chainmail and overlayed it, it used the thickness of the cowl bake and I think that kinda helped it out a lot. I added some big wrinkles as well that may help sell the material, not too sure though
Thanks all!

Thanks everyone for checking this out!
GRATOR - Each helmet has its own texture map :P
Scott - Thanks buddy!
Awesome stuff!
Is this one rendered in engine or your 3D program?
I personally prefer how the fabric materials look here.
Don't think that people dislike it, therefore not worth bothering changing it.
