Pipe-dream. You're talking about making something bigger than a jumbo that flies as fast as a concorde (with none of the aerodynamics) and will have to do it with a load bigger than the C-5 galaxy. Not that it can't be done, but the Russian air-force would probably go bankrupt in two days operating these things. It won't be built by 2024, and if it is it'll be far below these specifications. And even then one or two will probably crash because of the now trademarked poor Russian maintenance.
There's a reason Supersonic bombers were never seriously invested in by the US or the USSR. I guess someone forgot about that.
It's awesome, but for sure just some artist's rendition. Some parts say "stealth" but that's all meaningless with those gigantic turbines and underwing struts. Others say "heavy lift" but then the rest says "speed", but those wings are NOT for a supersonic jet.
Do you really think that engineers important for military industry can just leave this country?
To be honest russia has already decreased number of ordered planes and other military equipment because of war with ukraine. With that economy this plane won't rather be built(maybe 1-or 2 prototypes)
That is great ! I really find id riddiculous to travel 14-18 hours only from Europe to North America in this time and age. I would really like to see it come true.
Japan made a train go 603 km/h yesterday. It is about damn time for airplanes.
It could never get into the air or crashed right away if I remember right from a book i read 10 years ago
Those ship turrets man, what where they thinking, that thing going into dive bomb on plane carriers ? The image is a 3d recreation it seems not sure how accurate

This image yes, but the real plane existed, apparently instantly crashed on first start, not sure about the guns in this "recreation" however
There are still some old drawings around, but cannot find anything, got it from a book

Wait, isn't that just the HOTOL concept from the 80s?
