Hey! Thanks for checking out my thread, I’ve been working on improving my Unreal Engine 4 environment art skills and getting to grips with all the material editor has to offer. This threads intentions are to show my goals, gain constructive feedback and get inspired as I progress :D

With the environments current progress my goals are:
  • Texture trees, vary foliage & diversify the grass height, colour and forms.
  • Improve road texture, variation and its blending with the world.
  • Vary base textures on mountains get better height blending, ZBrush sculpt more formations and implement tessellation & bump offset to make it pop!
  • Skybox
  • Lighting tweaks
  • Model, sculpt and implement more ruins where blockout is placed
  • Place more focal points and improving scene composition as you progress down the road to lead a player onwards always keeping in mind that id want to be interested in where i’m being led. Finish line? Castle? Lake? whats down there?
  • More props, thinking rally banners as its leaning more towards offroad rally locations. Motive for being in that location for being believable
