Criticize my work please

Hello,

I am about to begin making a game and have spent countless hours practicing different art styles to make something unique and now I'm looking for critiques from other artists on the stuff I've made thus far.

(All final images will have black borders on them).

Here is my playlist of time lapses: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLizxTnSpS5viTFiCT-G2fs-pJ90TevoNy

or my deviant art page show casing the artwork: http://dustinnb.deviantart.com/gallery/

Don't be afraid to rip them apart, I'd prefer it now rather than after releasing the game.

Cheers,

    Hey,

I like the style, but I think you should show a complete environment setup. Put what you have on some terrain and make it look like a city/town/level, then balance your colors (I think your colors are too dark) and post again. Also what kind of game are you making?

    Good luck!

Alright will do! It'll take some time as I've clearly (I think foolishly would be a better choice of word here) made assets all over the place (viking house, a mansion, a western house) but once I make a full single environment I will do def that.

those bright blue backgrounds are stealing the show. I'm a fan of this style, but I think you can push it to the next level. I agree with Natland on making a complete environment. Use this guy as ref, he's perfected this style.

low_poly_mansion___single_money_maker_shot_by_dustinnb-d8pc74x.png Here is one. I thought it'd be easier since Deviant has them all up anyways in a nice gallery xD

That guy is amazing holy. Thanks for that! And yea, I will make sure to do some environments. I had just been making different set pieces to build up the idea of the game. I haven't decided on a layout for any of the scenes just yet but I'll get to it.

Looks good so far. You have some nice layout/construction. Everything reads well. I am finding the textures to be too flat though. Even if you're going for a flat look you could use more variation of color and saturation.

It would be preferable if you just ask for feedback on one specific project, nevertheless, it seem like you hide behind your art style a bit, it looks really good but you wont become very well rounded making only that style. I like to play around with loads of different motives and styles because learning another technique might give you another perspective when making models.
