Hello all!
I am new to the forum so apologies if this is the wrong section. I am waiting in the queue to be placed on the Gumroad Tutorial list but I thought I would dive on in and introduce myself and show my sculpt.
I'm Erik Jakobsen, a Senior Staff environment artist at Sony Santa Monica on the God of War dev team. I've been crafting game environments for 16 years working on games like The Bards Tale remake, Saboteur and God of War Ascension.
Since I am a newb on the forum and the tutorial scene I would really appreciate any support or feedback. Thanks guys!

Yeah I keep expecting to you see you around here.
Bought!
I got some feedback that there was some confusion on that that my project was actual clay. It's just a sweet Keyshot render that I fell in love with. If you guys havn;t played around with Keyshot I would highly recommend it. It's stupid easy and has fantastic results!
Thank you so much for making this. Will report back soon and post my results.
Three sweet Maya MEL hacks I cant live without
Runtime ~ 11 minutes
Inlcudes video, 3 MEL scripts and my .PSD icon file
Sometimes Maya does things in a weird way. While I am sure there is some reason for it, I have found three tools that work around Mayas weirdness. These MEL scripts save me time and keep my scene clean and tidy. I used them a lot in my Modeling/Sculpting video and since I rely on them so much I wanted to make sure I cover them here. If you are not already using a custom Maya shelf I detail how to get that up and running too.

Amazing work, fantastic render. Great scale and detail, and flow.
Sorry for quoting the whole post, this needs to be on a new page and not skipped over.
[edit] Sorry, thought this was the WAYWO thread. It's 5am, my bad.
To add, though, thank you so much for sharing this information. One of my greatest affinities for environment art is rock formations. This excites me tremendously, I'm going to watch the crap out of this.
If you are interested in my continuing tutorials be sure to like my Facebook page. That's the best source for updates.

I also wanted to let you guys know that I plan on covering PBR (Physically Based Rendered)video game materials (both tilable and unique) and converting those ruins in my Modeling/Sculpting tutorial into game assets.
I have gotten requests for covering alpha generation/modification and foliage creation. If you have any other suggestions for topics or have feedback on existing videos please let me know.
Thanks again for your support!
