Anyone here know of a good (free) human anatomy reference image(s) site where I can find great/proportionally cropped image references to use for modeling? Normally, I like to search through Google images or Pinterest, but of late that hasn't been fruitful at all. Any and all links are greatly appreciated...

Human anatomy
You can also be more detailed with your Google searches, maybe look up Ecorche.

http://www.3d.sk/ , is the best human anatomy reference site I ever used. I studied anatomy proportions daily for a very long time and this site had the only database that suited my needs: great lighting conditions, allot of variation in the age and build of the models, nude and clothed, closeups, turntables etc.
You can sign up for 1 month and rake in the daily limit of reference. Just download all types of references until you reached your limit and you should be set for years of study.
Good point, I definitely need to learn some of the terms.
Thanks, that is exactly what I'm looking for. You wouldn't know where I can find some frontal and side pictures would you?
Thanks, I did run into that site on multiple occasions, but what I'm working on is for personal learning and I doubt I want to go with a paid subscription. Anyhow, thanks for dropping by. If you have any links to free materials please do share. Its surprising how difficult it is to find the right resolution images.
how is this "not safe for work", you are an artist working for a company as an artist. as a character modeller bammes' book is one of the standards you should hold to. this stuff is clearly not pornographic, how prude could one boss possibly be to not allow his character artists to check on references?
@OP: i know at this day and age people get more and more used to getting everything for free on the internet, but buy the Book by Gottfried Bammes, it is well worth the money.
Maybe someday but for now free will do. I'm doing this as a hobby and a way to fill the time.
Just a precaution. Bammes has also pictures of naked kids in his books. I didn't check if they are there in the link. Just don't want to get anyone in a difficult to explain situation. Besides not everyone clicking the link is going to be a character artist sitting on his work desk.
I'm glad you shared what the content is about - this post was simply for plain and acceptable for all ages reference pictures. Some of us might be in part(s) of the world where people get flogged, hanged, or even worst get their limbs hacked off for even thinking of such images. Anyways, lets keep this clean people.
