I'm working on this harley davidson dyna model on my free time. Its supposed to belong to a traveller who's in a journey far away from home. I'm planning to make a small diorama and render it in tb2 with the bike parked on the road and a little dressing around.
I want to add a few more details to the hp, some welding on the t-bars and tape on the exhaust and then i'll start working on the lp and bake it. Feedback and suggestions are appreciated!
Hey, beni, I've been watching your progress closely , the motorcycle is getting really good. So far some things to point out, you're going to detail more things as buttons/leather or the tank top?, some small detail and reallistic joints are going to improve the hp and would be great for the normals. Here a img of what I'm talking about.
hey fran, thanks for the feedback! i'm planning to add some stickers on the tank top around the speedometer, also finer surface details with ndo later when texturing.
added exhaust tape, welding on the t-bars, mirros and changed the ropes for the sleeping bag and backpack.
I agree with Ghaz. Right now it's difficult to take in the details you put in. Not sure if there is a filter being applied to the images, but the noise is distracting.
finished the first texture pass with clean materials. i'm going to do another pass to add some more damage and especially dust since this bike is supposed to be from a desert zone.
still wip, gotta' add a few decals, fix some small issues and set up a small scene to put this bike on
@candystripes05: thanks man! yep, i agree, i went a little bit too easy on edgeloops and added some maybe unnecesary ones, i was trying to avoid blocky corners
use a different colour backdrop then your diffuse. You want to make it pop out not blend in and ease up on the DOF/blur effects
I like the idea of the map, but maybe make it one of a city/town it's too small to be useful to the rider unless it's more a trophy thing then nvm it's good haha
I like so much your work, Beni.
This cruiser is so realistic that I can't believe it. O.o
Well, you would try to play with other colors for the package grey or leather seat, to make it doesn't seem so dark.
i'm slowly getting closer to finishing this piece, still have to add a few details to the ground plane like little pebbles, some more variation on the asphalt and maybe a sign. I'll do a quick feedback pass later on fixing some of the issues you guys pointed out!

IMO, It would be better if you move your camera closer to the bike
