I couldn't say. I was hired to create this character, at least for now. My client told me that he contacted "johnsonting" to buy the rights to use his concept for the game. So I presume that the concept artist is not like on board for the whole project.

Well this is a legal and moral mess. Atleast you should contact the artist and tell him you where hired by your client to model his design. Just to be sure you got your back covered if shit hits the fan.
