I'm trying to figure out how to make this work. I tried importing different custom materials with opacity maps but no matter what I can't get any transparency to show in 3do. Just in case I had authored my opacity map incorrectly I tried to import a gametexture.com material and still no dice. I also tried inverting my opacity map... nada.
I did some search on this forum and elsewhere and beside reading that upon importing an opacity map you get control for transparency, nothing. I can't find any difference with or without importing a transparency map, no slider, nothing.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Very frustrated at the moment.
And btw, tooltip for opacity map import option in the import custom material menu shows AO message, you guys may want to fix this and replace it by some pointers, maybe.
Adding an opacity map to the project was the solution, but somehow the opacity map shows as blue and it messes up the texture. Puzzled now.
