Just posting some updates for the High-poly Helmet I am working on. Any feedback so far?
I am going to next model the rivets that hold the facemask and shell together. I will then go back and smooth out the bumps on the shell although I was considering using defining the bumps to show wear and tear.
I have also been working on a worn "converse" shoe which I should finish later today.
I have made some progress with the diorama. I feel that is all the props I will add into the scene. I am now looking towards baking all the high poly meshs to low poly and finished texturing all the assets.
Really try to think about where the dirt,rust,grunge will be built up, reference or looking at AAA games that have similar scenes will help. Sometimes less is a better thing.
I think I see what you mean, I have been examining rusted metal this morning and I feel my lockers maybe a little too eroded to be believable. I am planning to go back and redo them anyway since the base seed for the inside of all the lockers are the same.
I am also thinking about changing the walls above the tiles. The cracks seem a little too random.
Just posting some updates. There is a number of areas that I am not happy with in the scene, such as the hgih rust on the lockers and the door. I am balancing this project and a number of other modules of university so I simply do not have the time to fix issues, but after my coursework is finish I will definietly go back and redo areas.
