Well that's some crazy good work. I could only nitpick that the grenade stands out being so saturated green. Really nice shading to my eye. What is the final presented in here? Unity, Marmoset or UE? You have logos of each, what were the different software used for?

thanks... yeah, the grenade...! The pics are rendered in Marmoset. I mention Unreal and Unity because these are the target platforms for this character, and I did some look development in both.
I would like to rig this character and use it as a 3rd person char, so these are the next steps.
here are some pics from the grenade, I´m not sure, but I think those are screenshots from Substance Designer Yebis viewport:
These look great man, i especially enjoy the wet/muddy version. damit i really need to pick up substance designer... the things i see people pumping out of there is amazing
@GrungyStudios: thanks, substance rocks, you will love it, especially for its complex pipeline integration from baking to final maps/sbsar output and most of all the non-destructivity of the workflows!
Amazing work! Noob feedback for improvement: It looks a bit too baggy right where the pants tuck into the boots to me. I couldn't find any ww2 references with uniforms like yours, but I just feel like even loose pants would taper a bit towards the ankle. Like this picture. It looks to me like your character has unsized parachute pants.
Hope that helps you improve Amazing work otherwise!!!

thanks for that input! In my ref pics, the pants where kind of overlapping the boots, might well be the case, they are parachute-oversized
@Damian Nachman: thanks! Even if the background is quite simple, I fiddled around a lot with that, great you like the presentation!

@MattyWS: thanks for your kind words, will think about that

Edit, on a very small note, the orange rhombus insigna on the helmet was only an Army Ranger thing decal.
hoorah :P
sorry couldent resist
@kunalht: thanks
@Odeca: started out as a commercial project, ended up as a private project thanks for the info about the army rangers!
@Munky00: thanks a lot! I´ve learned a lot and can´t wait for the knowledge to be applied in future projects!
